Union County College Board of Trustees Chairman Victor Richel Honored with Ronald Winthers Community College Trustee Leadership Award
On June 20, the New Jersey Council of County Colleges presented the Ronald D. Winthers Community College Trustee Leadership Award to Union County College Board of Trustees Chairman Victor Richel for his dedicated service to New Jersey’s 19 community colleges.
Union County College President Margaret M. McMenamin was reelected to the American Association of Community College’s Presidents Academy Executive Committee. The AACC Board of Directors certified the election results last month.

Union County College Emergency Alert Notification System (Regroup)

Anyone wishing to Opt-in to the Union County College Emergency Notification System to receive alert messages must sign up at the following hyper link: https://ucc.regroup.com/signup
Once completed the new member must confirm their Regroup account via the confirmation email sent to the email address entered during the sign up process.
  
Once the confirmation process is complete, the new member can login to their Regroup account add a phone number for text and voice message alerts from Regroup, or change what type of notifications they receive.

Dr. Rama Lohani-Chase

Dr. Rama Lohani-Chase

Writer, feminist, scholar -- and foremost a teacher -- Nepal-born Sociology Instructor Dr. Rama Lohani-Chase joined Union in 2013 after a stint at County College of Morris. Prior to that, she was an assistant professor of Women’s and Gender Studies at The College of New Jersey. She is an advisor for the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and also for the Social Science Society, a club for students majoring in Sociology and Psychology. Dr. Lohani-Chase received her Ph.D. in Women’s and Gender Studies from Rutgers University-NB and her M.A. in Women’s Studies from Drew University. At Tribhuvan University in Nepal she received a B.A. in Humanities and Social Sciences and an M.A. in English Literature and Cultural Studies. click here
