Professor Frank J. Coppa is devoted to students and encourages them to achieve their full potential. He enjoys hearing from former students and rejoices in their success. He is a member of the Educational Planning Committee, Sabbatical Review Committee, and the faculty Election Committee. He has served as Chair of the Economics, Government and History Department and is the creator of the Liberal Arts- American Studies program which he coordinates. He also served as a Vice President of the New Jersey Political Science Association. He was elected as an independent to the Union County Charter Study Commission which recommended the current form of Union County government to the people of Union County. He is also the author of a work on county government which has been cited in textbooks, law reviews as well as academic publications. He holds a graduate degree from the Graduate School of Arts and Science of New York University and teaches American Government and Western Civilization. He is married and the father of three adult children and three grandchildren.
