For more than 15 years, Associate Professor Theresa Cosmas has taught the full range of nursing classes in Union’s Practical Nursing Department. Her students say she "brings joy to the classroom" and often comment about how "she’s always so pleasant and smiling." Prof. Cosmas says, "The most rewarding part of my teaching is working with the students in the clinical areas. I enjoy the challenges of patient care and encouraging the students to reach high and succeed!" She also believes strongly in the value of the nursing profession. "Nurses truly do make a difference in a patient’s life." Prof. Cosmas can empathize with community college nursing students, having earned an associate in applied science in Nursing at Middlesex County College. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Seton Hall University and a master’s in Nursing from New York University.
