Hurley, Valerae

Dr. Valerae Hurley is Assistant Professor of History. She loves teaching history, including honors courses. She says, “It’s so much fun to observe the expression on eager young faces when they learn something new. A course in Intellectual History opens up the world for them. It gives them so much to consider. You can actually see it on their faces when understanding dawns: when the Eureka moment hits them. So much fun!” Dr. Hurley is co-advising the History Club and has served for five years on the Honors Committee. She has master’s degrees from Monmouth University and Drew University and a Ph.D. from Drew University.
