Elizabeth A. Joyce is an Associate Professor in the Business Department and Coordinator of the Paralegal Studies program. A graduate of Georgetown University, Dr. Joyce was awarded a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law, and then began a legal career focused primarily upon corporate and real estate law, working in a large Denver, Colorado law firm, and later in her own law practice in New Jersey. Dr. Joyce joined the full-time faculty of Union County College in 2007. In 2011, under Dr. Joyce’s leadership, the Union County College Paralegal Studies program was granted the approval of the American Bar Association. Currently, Dr. Joyce is the Chair of the Curriculum Committee. She has presented at several American Association for Paralegal Education conferences, on topics including student outcomes assessment and effective student engagement techniques.
