- Counseling Services offers academic, career, and personal counseling services to Union County College students. Counselors are available on all Union County College campuses.
FERPA
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law passed in 1974 that affords students certain rights with respect to their educational records.
LEAP
Learning Enhanced through Accelerated Paths (LEAP) provides students the opportunity to accelerate through developmental or ESL courses. By connecting academic courses, tutoring, and academic advising to promote student success and degree completion at Union County College.

Getting to Union County College
Union’s four campuses are conveniently located throughout the county, with mass transit options available from many locations.
Placement Testing
All degree students entering Union County College are required to take the Basic Skills Placement Test, called Accuplacer, in order to measure their reading, writing and math skills. Download our information bulletin or contact the Testing Office to schedule your test.
Institute for Intensive English-ESL
The Institute for Intensive English provides a full-time program of intensive instruction in English for speakers of other languages. The students' objective is to enhance their English language abilities in order to further their academic, career, and/or personal goals.
