Welcome to Union County College. The 10 steps below are the recommended sequence of enrollment.

Submit Application

Already Applied? Check Application Status or Review Your Application

Your application may take a few days to be processed. In the meantime, you may continue to the instructions of document submission and applying for Financial Aid. Submit the following documents to the Admissions Department on the Cranford, Elizabeth or Plainfield campuses:

  • Submit final, official high school transcript or GED transcript
  • Submit SAT scores if you have taken the SATs
  • Submit AP scores if applicable
  • Submit immunization records
    • The State of New Jersey requires all full-time students born after December 31, 1936 to be immunized against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Hepatitis B or prove that they meet one of the exemption requirements. Students must bring a copy of a certificate from a doctor or medical center showing proof of inoculations to the Admissions office on the Cranford, Elizabeth, Plainfield campus.

Apply for Financial Aid

  • Complete your FAFSA-Free Application for Federal Student Aid www.fafsa.gov. Union County College’s school code is 002643
  • Check your Union County College email to confirm receipt of your FAFSA
  • Log into Web Services to check for required documents and submit them to the Financial Aid Office
  • Review your Financial Aid Award on Web Services

Create your College Account

  • Check the email account that you provided in your application for instructions, username, and password

Take your Placement Test

  • Placement Test
  • A SAT score of at least 540 in Critical Reading and 530 in Math are necessary to waive the Placement Test.

Attend Orientation

  • Orientation is required for all first-time, full-time students entering the college during Fall or Spring.

Register for Classes

  • Steps before registration
  • Steps at registration
    • Log in and register (after orientation)
    • Review and print your class schedule from your College account
  • Steps after registration
    • Check your college email and the college website often for class cancellations
    • Schedule changes
      • You can add classes until the last day of registration
      • You will not be charged for classes dropped prior to the start of the semester
      • Classes dropped after the start of the semester are subject to the College’s refund policy

  • Plainfield – Student Services Area, Room P-104
