Union County College is offering a new CompTIA Network + Certification course starting this June through the Continuing Education department. The course is suited for students who have acquired a good general knowledge of computers through work experience or for those who already have a CompTIA A+ certification or have completed A+ certification classes. This is an 80.5 hour program that prepares students to take the CompTIA Network + certification exam. Many companies such as Dell, HP, Sharp and Xerox recommend or require CompTIA Network + for their technicians.
Students who take this class and pass the Network + certification exam will be prepared for jobs as a network administrator, network installer, help desk technician, or IT cable installer. Several topics covered in the class will include network basics, network-to-network communications, network security, wireless networking standards, and more.
Sign up now for this class which starts June 5th. Classes will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm and the class ends August 21st.
