Do you need to take Anatomy and Physiology over the summer or are you interested in a healthcare career and getting a national certification for in-demand jobs? Get started learning about the basic anatomy and physiology of the human body through Anatomy and Physiology Part 1 and Part 2. These are non-credit classes for adults offered through Continuing Education at the college and this is a pre-requisite course for several certificate programs including EKG Technician, Medical Office Assistant with Specialties, Patient Care Technician, Pharmacy Technician, and Phlebotomy Technician.
Anatomy and Physiology Part 1 covers the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, lymphatic, cardiovascular and circulatory systems from the perspective of structure, processes and regulation. This class starts on June 3 and meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. It will also be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting June 18 and the tuition is $395.
Anatomy and Physiology Part 2 covers the nervous, endocrine, respiratory, urinary and reproductive systems from the perspective of structure, processes and regulation. Special senses and human development/genetics will also be covered. This class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 - 9:000 p.m. starting on August 6. The tuition is $355.
