The class for professional rescuers and healthcare providers combines discussions, video and hands-on training for individuals who respond to emergencies in their job. This course covers how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over. Topics include: Primary assessment, Ventilations (incl. use of CPR breathing barriers and use of BVMs), Choking (incl. conscious and unconscious), CPR (incl. one- and two-rescuer), and AED. The class for school and community participants (First Aid/CPR/AED for Non-rescuers) is intended for lay-rescuers, teachers, coaches, or anyone else who wants to learn important CPR and First Aid skills. This program combines lecture, emergency scenarios that are likely to occur in a variety of environments, and hands-on training to teach lifesaving skills.
