CRANFORD – Union County College President Margaret M. McMenamin was one of five women to be honored by the Boy Scouts of America with their “Tribute to Women” Award. Dr. McMenamin joins the ranks of more than sixty women who have received this honor since 2000, when the Boy Scouts began presenting the awards. The luncheon was held at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, NJ, on Dec. 5.
The Boy Scouts of America Tribute to Women Luncheon is an annual event by which the Scouts honor outstanding women who serve as exemplary role models for the youth of our area through their vocations or avocations and who live their lives according to the ideals of the Scout Oath and Law.
President McMenamin has put forth an aggressive agenda centering on improving student success outcomes. She is revitalizing student services, strengthening advising and counseling, partnering with faculty to improve teaching and learning, and engaging the entire campus community in the process of mission review to renew their collective commitment to student success.
