Last Chance for Special Pricing on Gala Auction Items!

The Nov. 3 scholarship gala at the Summit Grand Hotel drew around 300 revelers and raised an expected $100,000 or more for student scholarships.
Academic and administrative departments donated many of the gift baskets that helped boost scholarship revenue. However, with more than 75 baskets and almost 20 live-auction items available, a few of these items fell through the cracks.
Rather than leaving these great prizes for the cat, we thought we’d offer them first to Union employees, and at a special late-Friday-afternoon, rock-bottom price.
If you’re the first one to send an email to Beth Gorin at gorin@ucc.edu to buy a prize at the special Unionite price, the item is yours. To top it off, whatever you pay is tax deductible since your donation goes toward student scholarships.
There are six of these prizes that you’ll need to identify by number in your email:
  • Prize 1 (from the Live Auction) Orlando Vacation
    One week in Orlando, Dec. 16-23, a two-bedroom Villa that sleeps eight. Close to everything Disney. Valued at more than $6,000. Offered on a first-come, first-snatched Unionite price of $500.
  • Prize 2 (from the Live Auction) Knitted Raccoon Fur Vest

    Valued at more than $2,000. Offered on a first-come, first-snatched Unionite price of $800.
  • Prize 3 (from the Live Auction) Vacation Cabin in Angel Fire, New Mexico
    One week in a scenic, unspoiled mountain environment, Dec. 11-18. Three-bedroom cabin sleeps eight. Skiing on more than 60 trails.
    Valued at $1,100. Offered on a first-come, first-snatched Unionite price of $500.
  • Prize 4 (from the Live Auction) Kramer Portrait
    A Kramer wall portrait is a really classy way to pay tribute to a loved one. It’s original art in the form of an oil painting on canvas.
    Valued at $5,000. Offered on a first-come, first-snatched Unionite price of $350.
  • Prize 5 (from the Silent Auction) Le Prairie Skin Care Basket

    Valued at $1,000. Offered on a first-come, first-snatched Unionite price of $150.
  • Prize 6 (from the Silent Auction) Hand-crafted Art Piece from Arielle’s Gallery
    handmade art
    Valued at $550. Offered on a first-come, first-snatched Unionite price of $100.
