Lacrosse is ranked 10 in nation

Tuesday, March 17, 2015

Union County College Lacrosse team has been battling Mother Nature to get out on the field this season, but once they did they earned their way to being ranked 10th in the country throughout NJCAA.

The Owls opened their season hosting Tompkins Cortland Community College from New York.  Union defeated Cortland 6-2 and started the season on a strong note. This past Sunday Union hosted Cecil College who travel from Maryland to play Union again. The Owls worked well together and started to build momentum throughout this game and beat Cecil 17-2.

With the lack outdoor field practice time the team has been overly excited to get out onto the open field to play. With this said, Union County College Men's Lacrosse is currently ranked 10th in the Nation for NJCAA.

The Owls are scheduled to travel to the 3rd nationally ranked college throughout NJCAA, CCBC Essex in Maryland this Wednesday at 7pm.
